What was done

This was a full front-and-back modernisation in Wymondham. At the front, the team fully excavated the old driveway, corrected the drainage, then laid 350mm of permeable Type 1 sub-base before installing Marshalls block paving with a double charcoal border. Brick entrance walls and pillars were built to footings, with data and power cabling run to the garage for lighting and automatic sliding gates. At the rear, a large retaining wall was built and rendered for a sleek, contemporary finish, and a two-tier grey porcelain patio was laid with a black porcelain border for contrast and drainage channels run along the wall. App-controlled lighting was also installed.

The finished look

The result is a smart, cohesive home exterior. The curved brick entrance walls frame a neat block-paved driveway that sits flush and clean, while the rear garden steps elegantly between two levels of pale grey porcelain, with dark steps and a black border drawing crisp lines against the rendered walls. It is a modern, low-maintenance space that opens straight out to the lawn beyond.
