Just outside Old Buckenham we created a warm natural-stone patio for a lovely couple. The work started with removing the old timber decking, then installing KL kerbs around the outer edge to retain the patio, followed by a properly compacted sub-base. We then laid honey limestone — a natural stone where no two slabs are alike — across a generous area, including a raised circular patio feature edged with a curved brick wall and a charcoal sett border. A matching sett step links the levels neatly back to the house.
The finished patio has a soft, golden, characterful feel that suits the rustic property beautifully. The mix of warm limestone tones, the reclaimed-look brick circle and the dark sett edging gives the space real depth and a timeless country-garden charm. It's a spacious, inviting area for sitting out and entertaining, framed by the surrounding gravel and planted borders.
