We installed a new patio in Marshalls Aluri Rustic Ochre limestone, laid in a random mixed-size pattern. The paving runs around a timber summerhouse and out into the garden, edged with a course of contrasting setts and finished with a discreet metal drainage channel along one side to carry water away from the timber and gravel margins. The surrounding ground was set up with gravel and timber edging to frame the new patio.
The completed limestone patio has a soft, sunny character, with gold, buff and pale grey tones across the slabs that catch the light beautifully when wet. The sett border gives a tidy, defined edge, and the patio sits comfortably against the timber summerhouse and gravelled surrounds. It is a calm, usable space that opens the garden up for seating and entertaining.
